Ms. Gayani Duwandara
Ms. Gayani Dewundara teaches senior Social Studies at St. John’s Academy Vancouver. She is an experienced educator and curriculum developer with over 10 years of experience. She holds a BA in Social Sciences (International Studies), a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, and an MA in Leadership in Education from Trinity Western University, along with a TESOL certification. Ms. Dewundara is passionate about empowering students, fostering inclusive learning, and inspiring curiosity and critical thinking in social studies.
Ms. Azita Kaboly
Ms. Azita has a Secondary Education credential from the University of California (Fullerton), a Masters Degree in Microbiology from Azad University Iran, and Bachelors in Animal Science. Ms. Kaboly has been a passionate educator for over 10 years in both Biology and ELL teaching experience.
Mr. Houman Sadjadian
Mr. Houman teaches Senior Mathematics and Physics at St. John's Academy.
Ms. Miri Kim
Ms. Miri obtained both her B.A and B.Ed. from UBC in music education. She has a degree in Nursing and is a registered nurse in South Korea and New York State jurisdictions. She has been teaching music for five years in private and group settings.
Mr. Matthew Sit
Mr. Matthew teaches Senior English & Physical and Health Education at St. John's Academy.
Ms. Sabena Soo
​Ms. Soo is an experienced and dedicated ELL (English Language Learner) educator. Graduating from Simon Fraser University, she specializes in linguistics and education with focus in ELL. With years of experience in ELL instruction and curriculum development, she is passionate in helping students achieve by understanding each student's cultural and linguistic background. She is currently the ELL Curriculum Coordinator and also teaches ELL and Career Life Education at St. John’s Academy.
Mr, Izet Isaiev
Mr. Isaiev teaches beginner ELL and academic language classes at St. John's Academy.
